  • Check out our take on a classic pen-and-paper strategy game. This Wow in the World version of tic-tac-toe has the podcast logo etched on the storage tray and has W's in place of the X's. Keep this on your desk for a fun conversation starter…or ender! Provides wonderful entertainment during those long conference calls. This tabletop tic-tac-toe has a wood frame, acrylic pieces, and was exclusively designed for NPR by Bright Beam Goods in Austin, TX.

This game is good for those 4 and up; keep those small pieces away from the little kiddos!

  • Bright Beam Goods was founded in 2010 by owners, operators, and makers-in-chief Eve Trester-Wilson and Kristen von Minden. Eve and Kristen are friends who share a background in architecture, a taste for power tools, and a passion for crafting.

The studio at Bright Beam Goods houses a pair of laser cutters and a variety of other tools with which they make their own products, but also help others with theirs. They do custom laser cutting, teach classes, offer memberships, and share their space with a couple dozen like-minded makers. Their workshop is a place where creative types come together to craft, create, collaborate and inspire one another.

At Bright Beam Goods, they believe that handmade things carry more meaning. They are special, unique, imbued with traces of the human hand, and they bring with them a sense of wonder and joy.

They make products they'd love to own—high quality and hand-crafted treasures, both playful and elegant—things that make them smile! Their products range from jewelry to housewares to games
