Susan Stamberg is the first woman to anchor a national nightly news program, and has won every major award in broadcasting. She has been inducted into the Broadcasting Hall of Fame and the Radio Hall of Fame. An NPR founding mother, Stamberg is a pioneer at NPR and has been on staff since the network began in 1971. Known for her conversational style, her warm, infectious laugh, and the perennial fan favorite Mama Stamberg’s Cranberry Relish, the recipe that “sounds terrible, but tastes terrific”. She is, in short, a living legend, and some might say a work of art.
In honor of Susan, we proudly offer the ‘Susan Stam-Bag’. Featuring a colorful homage to Susan in the style of another great, modern artist, this 12 oz cotton tote measures 18” x 13” x 5” and has a zippered gusset top and 30” over-the-shoulder straps, making it the perfect tote for daily use and travel alike. And because we know you “relish” everything Susan has contributed over the years to NPR.
