Description
A cross-country collage that’s sure to brighten your summer road trip.
In 1981 and ’82, the cast and crew of A Prairie Home Companion toured and performed all over the United States, from Boston to Ashland, Oregon, from Los Angeles to Lansing, Michigan. This recording is a scrapbook of those live shows – music and laughter from a long-ago journey.
This 45 minute disc is classic Garrison Keillor, complete with musical performances by the Butch Thompson Trio, Robin and Linda Williams and the Bon Temps Zydeco Band. Also hear the first-ever recitation of Garrison Keillor’s poem, “Ode to Oregon.”
