When we introduced the Binary Clock into the NPR Shop a few years ago, I was stunned at the response—of course I couldn’t tell you how fast these were moving because I still hadn’t figured out how to read the clock! Finally, the owner of the company came by and taught me how easy it is to go “binary” and he also brought by this, newer, bigger version of the clock.

Well, this is more than just a clock you can impress your friends with; it’s really a work of art! The clock measures 12.3” x 12.3” and is a slim 1.25” deep. The face is a soft matte finish with a bright, crystalline LED display in your choice of red or blue. The clock is ready to mount on the wall and includes adjustable support stands for tabletop display. You can choose either BCD display or “true” binary display, and either twelve or twenty-four hour display with the flip of a switch. The clock also features battery backup of time during power loss (uses 3 ‘AA’ batteries, not included) and three brightness levels so you can really set the binary mood.
